SAN ANTONIO (Nov. 20, 2015) – Select days Nov. 21 through Dec. 31, SeaWorld® San Antonio will be transformed into a wintery wonderland where family members of all ages can enjoy stunning live shows, stroll through more than a million twinkling lights and enjoy holiday treats like hot chocolate and Belgian waffles during the park’s annual Christmas Celebration featuring 250-acres of family holiday entertainment.
Guests won’t want to miss a new holiday twist to A Pets Ahoy Christmas, a new show featuring the talents of rescued dogs, cats and other animals in a series of uproarious skits. The animals’ antics demonstrate SeaWorld’s encouragement-based training techniques and will delight the whole family.

“A Pets Ahoy Christmas will definitely put smiles on faces, and also shares how amazing the dogs and cats at our area’s local shelters are,” said Dan Decker, SeaWorld & Aquatica San Antonio Park President. “It is special to us all, and just one of many festive shows that make this celebration a favorite regional Christmas tradition.”

Santa’s sea lion helpers, Clyde and Seamore, will star in Clyde & Seamore’s Countdown to Christmas, a special holiday comedy caper filled with spoofs and plenty of laughs.
Families will get the opportunity to capture their memorable day at SeaWorld with a unique family photo inside of a larger-than-life snow globe. Posing in the 12-foot-tall globe is sure to get families into the holiday spirit as well as provide them with a memorable memento of their visit.
Guests will be taken on a wonderful voyage into the heart of the holidays as they experience the power and beauty of Shamu Christmas Miracles. They’ll be immersed in a festive atmosphere of sight and sound, where thrilling holiday music soars as Shamu helps tell a story of reflection, understanding, peace, friendship and miracles that happen every day.
During Elmo’s Christmas Wish in the heart of the park’s charming Sesame Street® Bay of Play®, guests will be inspired as Rosita, Grover, Zoe and Cookie Monster all work together to help Elmo pursue his Christmas wish, while Joy to the World will feature trumpeting angel statues, a beautiful nativity scene and carolers telling the story of Christmas through song.
Returning Christmas shows will include A Dolphin Christmas, O Christmas Tree and Reflections, and strolling musicians and carolers will entertain, interact and take photos with guests. Plus, there will be the SeaWorld Express, a festive train ride for young guests.
SeaWorld San Antonio will be open weekends through Dec. 13, as well as Thanksgiving week, Nov. 21 through Nov. 29, and Christmas break, Dec. 19 through Jan. 3 (closed Christmas Day). The park also will be celebrating New Year’s Eve with fireworks. Sunday, Jan. 3, 2016, is SeaWorld’s final operating day of the 2015 season.

A Dolphin Christmas: Set to music from the Nutcracker, this charming show features beautiful beluga whales, Pacific white sided dolphins, divers, acrobats and trainers as they celebrate Christmas the SeaWorld way.

Clyde & Seamore’s Countdown to Christmas: Santa’s sea lion helpers, Clyde and Seamore, will star in this special holiday comedy caper filled with spoofs and plenty of laughs.

Reflections: Guests will end their magical day at SeaWorld with classic Christmas sing-a-longs led by Elfred, Santa’s favorite elf, and a host of SeaWorld serenaders. Families will also enjoy an enchanting Christmas tree light show.

Elmo’s Christmas Wish: Guests will be inspired as Sesame Street’s Rosita, Grover, Zoe and Cookie Monster all work together to help Elmo pursue his Christmas wish.

Jingling Around the Block Party: Park guests can join their favorite Sesame Street characters as they welcome one of Santa’s elves, Figgy, to Sesame Street. Little ones will enjoy dancing with Elmo and his friends as Sesame Street Bay of Play is filled with Christmas cheer.

SIGHTS OF THE SEASON

· Coca-Cola Lane: SeaWorld guests can sip hot cocoa as they experience Coca-Cola Lane, presented by Coca-Cola®, featuring over 100,000 striped red and white lights in this self-guided area of the park. From the 8-foot-tall candy canes to the red and white floral designs, Coca-Cola Lane will leave guests craving peppermint.

SeaWorld’s Santa: Visitors will get an opportunity to meet and pose for pictures with Santa Claus and tell him what they want for Christmas.

SeaWorld Express: Guests can hop aboard this festive Christmas train to experience the sights of the season.

SOUNDS OF THE SEASON

O’ Christmas Tree: Park guests will enjoy watching the lights of the park’s towering Christmas trees as they illuminate and twinkle to the rhythms of the season’s best Christmas music.

Merry Mariachis: Mariachis will welcome guests to the park with their favorite sounds of the Christmas season.

THEMED CHRISTMAS AREAS

Christmas Market: Themed to a true South Texas Christmas like no other, FM 1225 will feature chili peppers, cowboy boots and wreaths made of cactus. It will be the only place in the park to pose with a 12-foot-tall Cowboy Boot Tree, enjoy Texas-inspired decorations and visit with Santa Claus. Guests won’t want to miss the Ho Ho Hoedown to see Santa parade in the park on his way to his workshop.

Christmas Cove: This area of the park will make guests feel like they’ve stepped back a half-century. This 1950s- inspired area will feature themed prizes at the park’s game stations, plenty of photo opportunities and live entertainment.

Joy to the World Walk: Guests can stroll through this area of the park that features trumpeting angel statues, a beautiful nativity scene and carolers telling the story of Christmas through song.

Home for the Holidays: Dinner with Santa and Mrs. Claus: Guests will feel right at home for the holidays when they join Santa and Mrs. Claus for dinner with all the trimmings and a special story. Advance reservations are required for this exclusive dining experience; park admission is also required. Children under 3 years old are admitted free, but do require a reservation.

· Sesame Street Brunch: Younger guests and their families can enjoy a delicious, festive holiday brunch buffet that includes a meet-and-greet and photo opportunity with their favorite Sesame Street characters. Both advance reservations and park admission are required. Children under 3 years old get in free, but do require a reservation.
