Six Flags Fiesta Texas Opening Day Trip Report 02/27/16

I attended Opening Day at Six Flags Fiesta Texas on February  27th. Here is a short trip report. I have included some of the new things that the park has added starting this 2016 season.

The park has set up a seperate line for guest to process their Season Passes. This ended up working so well that the other regular line were empty and they started processing passes in them to help with the long lines.

Crowds were very light at the beginning of the day. Although I was told that they broke their opening day record right after opening the front gates. The crowds picked up around noon and continued to grow.

Several building got a fresh new coat of paint. The blue and green really pops!

Crowds were not bad at opening, but did eventually pick up.

The Batman looking spectacular against the blue sky.

My first ride of the day, Batman The Ride.

A new Coke Freestyle has been added next to Batman The Ride. Definitely helps to quench your thirst after screaming your head off.

Next ride up was Iron Rattler. The ride ops were hustling guests through this ride. The wait time was minimal.

I noticed that they added new longer seat belts on one of the trains.

I ate at Old Blues BBQ for lunch. It was my first time. I really enjoyed that tender turkey sand which and macaroni and cheese. This meal was also available on the dining pass.

I love when they have the water falls running. They look so awesome running off the cliffs edge.

The fountains around the park were sparkling, reflecting the bright San Antonio sun.

The park was open from 10:30 am to 6:00 pm. It was gorgeous weather for opening day. The park was offering discounts for Season Pass Holders to bring friends. The park employees did a great job  even with the large unexpected turn out from guests. I want to thank Jeffrey Siebert, David Smith, Neal Thurman, and all of the Six Flags Fiesta Texas Management for maintaining a fabulous park. The park looks incredible, and I love all the fresh paint and revitalize Boardwalk. Here’s to a successful 2016 season!
