Halloween Season 2016 in Southern California

These awesome events were featured at Midsummer Scream in July and ScareLA in August.  If you are going to be in the LA area, check it out!

Haunt season is on!

The days are getting shorter, the smell of pumpkin spice lattes are in the air, store shelves are slowly stocking with haunt decor, and we’re actually getting a light chill in the air. But this weekend’s event lineup seals it: the Halloween season is now officially in full swing!

Here are some highlights:

  • Halloween Horror Nights and Six Flags Magic Mountain’s Fright Festopen their gates on Friday, along with several other professional attractions over the weekend, giving haunt fans more than plenty to do each evening!
  • In Burbank, Son of Monsterpalooza returns, with scores of vendors to shop and gawk at, along with an impressive lineup of celebrities to meet including the cast of the original “Night of the Living Dead,” American Horror Story’s Denis O’Hare, two of the vampires from “What We Do In the Shadows,” and more.
  • For the haunters out there, be sure to head down to Temple City on Sunday morning for Evil Twin Studio’s Haunt Warehouse Sale. They’re taking a sabbatical this year from making their haunt, but they’re already needing to make room for next years terrors… bring cash!
