Six Flags New England The Joker Update #1 9/17/16
DJ Here, with my first construction update for The Joker coming to Six Flags New England in 2017. The Joker is a S&S 4D free fly coaster that will flip you head over heals 4 to 8 times.
In this update we will show off the deconstruction of Splashwater Falls as of 9/17/16. Let’s jump in, When entering the park we noticed a ton of advertising for The Joker.
First thing we noticed in the from the Kontiki area was some workers in the station working on dismantling part of the ride. (Looked to be part of the Lift/Belt)
Later in the day, we saw some workers on the top of the lift hill. We also noticed that Splashwater Falls has already been removed from the directory sign next to Rockville Theater.
A temporary fence has been added to keep guests out of the construction area for The Joker, what has happened behind the fence is very interesting.
The rides final drop has been completely demolished except for a few small pieces of plexiglass and the supports. Also a part of the last helix has been demolished while a blue piece that used to connect the last helix with the final drops stands alone.
The last red piece before before the blue piece , has a small square in it I believe this will be the next piece to be removed. There is also a ton of old plexiglass laying underneath the remainder of the ride.

I give props to Six Flags New England for working so hard to dismantle Splashwater Falls so they can bring us new thrills in 2017 with The Joker. I hope you enjoyed my construction update on The Joker at Six Flags New England and remember to Ride On.
