Midsummer Scream was held the last weekend of July at the Long Beach Convention Center.  Since then, they have provided numerous updates to all things Halloween in Southern California.

October Is Upon Us!

Our favorite stretch of 31 days begins this Saturday, and we have a huge slate of openings and events to fill our calendar!

This weekend’s highlights include:

  • Grave Harvest, a one day Halloween, haunt, and horror convention put together by Larry Carr of Abracadaver Productions, hits Sunday in Fullerton with over 60 vendors and classes for haunters.
  • Queen Mary’s Dark Harbor opens tonite – check out this OC Register feature about the ship’s doomed passengers and crew who inspired the haunted attraction.
  • Using an actual mausoleum and graveyard as its set, Wicked Lit returns this week for their annual production of classic horror adaptations.
  • Delusion, the haunted play set in an actual West Adams mansion, sold out long before this weeks opening. Our tip for a chance to get in: sign up for their mailing list to be notified of any additional dates, and keep an eye on user comments on their Facebook page of guests needing to part with last second tickets.
  • Hocus Pocus fans may be delighted to know an authorized stage adaptation opens this weekend at Rockwell Table and Stage in Silverlake tonight. Check our Goldstar for discounted tickets!
  • In Moorpark, Underwood Family Farms kicks off their monthlong Fall Harvest Festival with pumpkins galore.
  • This weekend, and all October, our pals at Dearly Departed Tours are offering $10 off their walking tour of Hollywood’s haunted lore. Hosted by our pal RIP the Undertaker, the G-G-G Ghost Walking Tour has several dates throughout October available… use code SCREAM at checkout to redeem the discount.
