What: Six Flags New England is proud to host its annual “Food Drive” to support The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts on Saturday, October 28 & Sunday, October 29. Guests who bring in 6 – 24 non-perishable food items will get $20.17 off Main Gate admission. Those who donate 25 or more non-perishables will get a FREE ticket to the park valid on Saturday, October 28 or Sunday, October 29 only! All food will be donated to The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts.
This year, the Thrill Capital of New England plans to collect over 5,000 food items to support the growing local need for food. One in eight people living in Western Massachusetts face hunger every day. Six Flags New England wants to make sure every person has access to the food they need this fall and winter. Together we can all make a difference and ensure that those within our community will not have to worry about where or when their next meal will come. Guests who participate in this incredible cause will enjoy the last weekend of Fright Fest 2017 with thrilling rides, spooky shows, and terrifying haunted attractions.
The mission of The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts is to work with their community to reduce hunger and increase food security. Founded in 1983, the Food Bank has grown to be the largest service area of any food bank in Massachusetts. “The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts is the umbrella organization for over 200 local food pantries, meal sites, shelters, and more who provide food to over 221,000 individuals each year,” says Food Bank Development and Marketing Manager Heather Clark.
This weekend is the last weekend to experience “Thrills by Day, Fright by Night” at Six Flags New England as the park closes to transform for the first ever Holiday In The Park®, beginning November 24.
When: Food will be collected all day on Saturday, October 28 & Sunday, October 29
